Come and discover yoga in nature in the beautiful mountains above Mijas Pueblo.
In a world where we are constantly connected to technology, disconnect and rediscover a connection with yourself on this three-hour yoga and hiking experience above the beautiful white village of Mijas Pueblo.
Our meandering hike will take us to a disused historic marble quarry overlooking the Mediterranean coastline, where we will do yoga with spectacular views and the sound of nature.
This yoga class is suitable for all levels, it only requires a good level of fitness for the intermediate-level hike. Join the original Mijas Yoga hike and discover the experience of yoga in beautiful surroundings.
Afterwards, you have the option of joining in a brunch at Coffee Art café in the heart of the pueblo for a healthy meal.

Starting at Bar Mijas in Plaza Virgen de la Peña, we will begin walking through the charming white village of Mijas Pueblo to Calle San Sebastián, a sloping path that weaves between village houses until you emerge onto a main road. Crossing over, we begin the hiking route.
The hike takes around 40 - 45 mins on uneven hiking path uphill. The pace of the walk is easygoing and in around 20-30 minutes we will reach the Ermita del Calvario, a sanctuary built by Carmelite monks in 1710 for praying and other religious ceremonies. This is roughly a half-way point where we will stop to admire the views.
Continuing on the route uphill on steeper paths, we come across the Cantera del Barrio, an abandoned marble quarry that was once an economic livelihood for the local people of Mijas between the 17th and 19th centuries. The white marble excavated from these cliffs were highly prized, and were used in the construction of the Cathedral of Malaga and Seville.
Here we will have our 60-minute yoga session and relaxation on the smooth, flat slabs of marble, facing the Mediterranean Sea, where you can enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of your proximity to the sea and the mountains. The yoga session is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced.
Afterwards, we'll take an easier, less rocky path down back towards the Plaza where the hike ends.
